PEREGRINE FALCON

June 3, 2003:  The adult female at Place Victoria kept a close eye on us while we collected her chicks for banding, several times perching within a few metres of us.  The silver-coloured band on her right leg, combined with the lack of a second band on her left leg, suggests that she is likely to have been banded as a chick in Quebec herself.  Unfortunately, on this occasion we were unable to get a complete look at her band to confirm the identification.  (Photo by Leslie Hunt)
