ABOUT MRF |
||
What is migration? Most commonly it is thought of as the annual movement of certain birds between the tropics in winter and more northerly breeding ranges in summer. However, on a more general level, migration can be considered simply the movement of animals from one place to another. It is this broad definition which guides the Migration Research Foundation's activities. We are interested in contributing positively to our collective understanding of the movements of animals and the factors which regulate them, as well as their ecological significance, so that we can apply this knowledge to management and conservation issues.
