Director - Leslie M. Hunt |
Leslie
is responsible for producing research proposals and funding applications,
planning and coordinating research activities, conducting and managing
field work, analyzing project results, preparing reports and aiding in the
creation of publications. She has an extensive background in
research, project management and logistics, field studies, and data
analysis. Leslie has spent significant time supervising projects as
well as conducting hands-on research in the field. She holds a
degree in wildlife biology from the University of Waterloo, and for two years
was the Species at Risk Biologist for eastern Ontario
with the Ministry of Natural Resources. In this position, Leslie
became familiar with many of the key conservation issues and priorities targeted by MRF research. Her experience with
experimental design and statistics is critical to developing projects
such that their potential is maximized and performed in a cost-effective
manner.
