McGILL BIRD OBSERVATORY

PHOTO LIBRARY

Welcome to the MBO Photo Library!  In the event that you have reached this page without first visiting the introductory page, please click here for some important background information about this site.

Species accounts are being expanded and added on an ongoing basis as we acquire new photos.  Currently 63 species accounts are available, and another 45+ (listed below, but without links) are in various stages of preparation.  See the Yellow Warbler or Baltimore Oriole pages for examples of particularly comprehensive accounts.  A key to the approximate status of each account is listed in the table:

D
In development Not yet available - photos being processed and text being researched
L
Limited Only a few random images, providing little opportunity for comparison
P
Partial Approximately 25-75% of age/sex combinations documented to some extent
M
Mostly complete At least 75% of age/sex combinations documented to some extent
F
Full All regular age/sex combinations documented to some extent

Additional species will be added to the list as opportunities permit; thank you for your patience as we continue to develop the site.  Accounts updated in 2011 are flagged in the list below with an asterisk and feature an expanded introductory overview (35 species to date).  While the focus is overwhelmingly on eastern Canadian species at present, we are expanding coverage to other parts of North America as we receive contributions from banders and birders across the continent.

Questions or comments are welcome at "mbo AT migrationresearch.org".
