ARCTIC PREDATORS

SPECIES PROFILE

Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus)

The Arctic Fox is one of the dominant predators in the far north.  Some populations have been designated as threatened or endangered, while others appear to be more healthy; however, some aspects of their ecology remain far from fully understood.  MRF is considering integrating the Arctic Fox into its study of Arctic carnivores, and will post a full profile here if it is selected for research.
