In winter 2011-2012, MRF began its northern raptor project through banding Snowy Owls and Northern Hawk Owls in southern Quebec. This was largely a trial season, and as such, only two Snowy Owls and one Northern Hawk Owl were banded.
Plans are underway to expand the research program in winter 2012-2013. Additional results will be posted here once available.
