June 26, 2003: One of the two females at this nest in Montreal's port area, this Peregrine Falcon chick was approximately 28 days old. She was also very vocal, providing us an easy opportunity to check her mouth lining, which was in good condition. The feathers on the upper breast are somewhat matted from water lightly sprayed on the chicks during banding to keep them cool.. (Photo by Marcel Gahbauer)
